This species was collected by Ruth Smith from a llama pasture in Bend, OR. Despite having been sent to several experts, its identity still remains unknown (likely a new record for North America). Solanum is a very large and complicated genus, particularly in South America (maybe introduced with the llamas?). Solanaceae > The nightshade family.
